Poll: 54 percent of Americans believe mass shootings will increase under Biden.

WASHINGTON — A new Politico/Morning Consult poll found that a majority of Americans believe that gun violence will increase over the course of the next few years.

The poll asked, “In thinking about the United States over the next few years, do you believe there will be more, fewer, or the same amount of mass shootings?”

52 percent of respondents said more, 33 percent said about the same amount, and only 5 percent said fewer. 9 percent had no opinion.

The poll questioned, “In thinking about the United States over the next few years, do you believe there will be more, fewer, or the same amount of incidence of gun violence?”

54 percent of respondents said more, 34 percent said about the same amount, and only 5 percent said fewer. 7 percent had no opinion.

The poll sampled 1,920 registered voters on May 25 with a margin of error of two percentage points.
